Stories you'll love!

When you’re looking for cute and adorable stories, well, I suggest you pick JUNKO-Sensei’s works! Not just that the characters are cute, they are also funny and entertaining! The love scenes are sexy and yummy too! I really like how the mangaka did the arts. It’s not too mature and not too childish as well. It suites to those who like romantic comedies.

I usually like a little mature like kind of drawings akin to Asou Kai and Abe Akane’s works but Junko-sensei’s works are too cute to miss! Though I pick mangas to read by the alphabetical order of the authors, I usually do reviews only to those mangas I like and when I feel like doing so, thus I can say that Junko-sensei’s works really appealed to me.  Moreover, the typical manga I like are those in the genres of pyshological, mysterious, angst, drama, tragedy and the likes (by the way, what I mean here is the genre of YAOI mangas I read and not the normal one. LOL). I get attached to a manga when it attacks my emotional side though not always. Seeing and reading Junko-sensei’s mangas didn’t fail me to laugh and smile. They’re just so KAWAII! *.*

Anyways, Asou Kai-sensei and Abe Akane-sensei’s works are cute too in its own way! Ughh. There’s a lot of mangas that appealed so much to me, not to mention Sadahiro Mika-sensei’s sexy hot and intoxicating sex—I mean love. And oh! Oh! Fujiyama Hyouta-sensei’s Hitomi no Ounowa is also sooooo good and tickling! Teeheeee! I should stop here; I’m going far away from the topic. Hahaha! So, here’s Junko-sensei’s works together with a short description and images. Enjoy yourself with this sweet tales of love while you laugh and smile with your heart’s content! J

New Vampire Miyu/Vampire Princess Miyu

Miyu is vampire guardian who sends wandering Shinmas back to the darkness. With her is Larva, a western Shinma who devotedly stayed and fight by her side at all times. With the tight bond, that ties them together, they journeyed and searched for the remaining wandering shinmas in the Shinma realm and in the human world.  But when Larva’s past haunted him down and with the old allies wanting him back, will they be able to still stay together? Will Miyu be able to face the approaching danger the Western Shinmas brought?

This 5-volume series of Vampire Princess Miyu brought excitement to me when I discovered it as another version of Miyu’s story. As I read every pages of it, the feeling of nostalgia embraced me. The first time I found out about MIyu and Larva’s story was when I was still in high school and aimlessly looking for anime DVD. As I chose one to buy, the mysterious approach of the DVD cover drawn me and that’s when I picked the first anime DVD that I bought. It was the TV series of the supernatural fiction story by Toshiki Hirano and Narumi Kakinouchi entitled “Vampire Princess Miyu”.
However, New Vampire Miyu rotated about larva’s past and the battle between the same races, the Shinmas. They introduced new faces here that were not seen in the TV anime series, and some parts of the stories were altered. Both versions have different foundation but with the same approach to the readers. It portrayed how strong Miyu and Lava’s ties and the special feelings they have for each other.

The manga was really good despite of some confusing scenes maybe because of how they were drawn however I still like the character’s faces and features. Miyu’s childish face suites here very well and Larva’s calm and charming face was so handsome as ever! I really like his character and his gentleness and protectiveness towards Miyu. Ahhh~ Miyu’s really lucky to have him around. I’m one of Larva’s fans since the first time he got my eyes in the anime version of the story. The story was also well constructed and interesting.  I know that considering the oldness of this story, I’m a bit late to discover this some revisions of the manga but I’m glad I found it.

I’m going to say something about the anime too. In this version of Miyu’s story, it revolves on her Shinma haunting in the human world where she pretends as human and interacts with them together with searching stray shinmas lurking and feeding with human weaknesses. There, she sent them to the darkness one after another. She also met few good people and made friends with them even though humans were out of her concerns. Despite the fact that she’s a guardian and a vampire, the warmth of being loved by the “friends” she gained became precious to her. However, later on the enemies revealed themselves and her little human life ended, after all, she was Miyu, the vampire guardian and it was her duty to send stray shinmas back to darkness.

The anime version consisted of different character from the 5-volume manga, the “New Vampire miyu”, and the only one whose with her in both stories were Larva. Miyu and Larva’s character were more understandable in the anime as well as the story too. Of course. The anime also stated about Miyu’s origin and past as well as how she met Larva and became her devoted companion. The art was very good and Miyu was very beautiful with her golden round eyes. Larva too, he was very charming and cool in his black coat. The story gives off this sad mysterious aura that I found relating to. As the anime approached its climax slowly, interesting and unexpected events keep popping out. The animation was very well done.

Vampire Princess Miyu still got more. It also has a 4 OVA that I still haven’t watched and a 10 volume manga that I think it’s another version as well. I got a 4th volume manga of “Vampire Princess Miyu” but I still couldn’t figure out if it was a part of the 10-volume manga. I wasn’t able to download the whole 10 volume because the scanslation was dropped according to the site where I download mangas. Soon I’m going to watch the OVA to see what part of Miyu’s life it’s all about. ~Ahhh1 I’m smitten with this couple again. Too bad, I let someone borrow my DVD and it hasn’t been back to me since then. What a pity! I really want to treasure that DVD!  Anyways, I hope this got you excited to unravel Miyu and Larva’s story. I’ve included a summary of the story below from . . .
So let Miyu give you a peaceful sleep with an everlasting beautiful dream. . .

You might be wondering why she’s also called a vampire and how she fights against her enemies. Curious? . . . well, it’s for me to know and for you to find out! Teehee!

And oh! I really like the OST of the anime even though somehow it has a sad and soft rhythm. I can feel the song very much. J

Plot Summary: Stranded in the space between human and demon, Miyu was born a vampire and charged with the responsibility of returning evil demons called Shinma to the dark. Being eternally 15, she yearns to return to the dark herself but not until she has banished the Shinma from Earth. And since her awakening, she remains cut off by the facts of who and what she is.

Namida mo Toku:Blue Grey Dream

Manga Cover

In a world where selling one’s body became a living, would you able to find true happiness and love? Would you be able to believe and trust freely to some sweet talks?

Chapter 1

Just like a swift dream, Shiki and Ootori’s story stirred me emotionally. I didn’t expect the ending of the manga and I was really taken aback. I felt like crying after finding out what happened between them. I like the story even thought it became like that though I did hope for it to be the other way around. It’s really so heart-breaking*sobs*. Oh man~ am I a masochist? Reading painful stories yet loving it.  After finding out the ending of the story, I couldn’t resist the urge to write a review about it. It was really a good story. Honjou-sensie! Why?? *sobs*.
Chapter 2

The story was just so beautifully made and the characters too. You might think I’m a shallow reader that something like this got me so emotional but the hell I care?! It was just really. . .*ughh!*. Anyways, I really admired Ootori-sensie for loving Shiki so much despite the fact that he’s a male prostitute and I’m really disappointed with Shiki!! Shiki’s an idiot! It was his fault and his doing that Ootori-sensie fell in love with him so badly but then he let something like that to happen to Ootori-sensie!! He’s just so selfish. .*sobs* Oh no! I’m too into this. My tear glands are about to burst. Darn it! Love is just so troublesome that’s why I don’t need it! It’s 3:26 in the morning and I’m so depressed because of this story. And I’m having an exam this morning. . . I’m so dead!
*sobs*
*sobs*
*sobs*
Yeah, I’m crazy. You might wonder what I’m talking about since I’m not being clear here but you see, I just want you to read it and find out yourself. I won’t expect you to understand my feelings about this manga after reading it but you see I’m just too shallow that’s why I’m so affected.
This manga “Namida mo Toku” by Honjou Rie-sensie might seem a simple story to some but I could say that I felt the emotions of the story as well as the message in it. Really, I still couldn’t get over it. So please read it and let’s share this bittersweet pain together. YOU! Yes you! Read it okay!
And ohhhh! Oootori-sensie’s friend is a bastard! He’s the most idiot one! Mind you!
I’ll include the book summary below. So, mina-san! Stroll around in the red-light district of the future and see for yourself a blue grey dream.

It takes one manic to recognize the other.

Lost myself in a Black Forest

In a Saturday afternoon after a stressful week of classes, plates and all night pleasure of reading and indulging myself in my Yaoi interests, I really deserve a nice treat for my greedy mouth. And luckily, a black forest frappe and black forest cake are just too tempting! And so, with a watery mouth I ordered for it and ate it happily! It's been long enough since the last time I ate a blackforest cake. The cherry's so sweet! I tried to knot it's little stem but how much I tried, I just couldn't do it. Well, I'll try it next time and hope i'll be able to knot it. The cake's really delicious but the rectangular thing at its rear didn't taste good. It was bitter! I wonder what kind of chocolate that was.  Anyways, here's a photo of my black forest duo from Miko's Brew!! :)

Be Thirsty of Love

What would you do if someone you love so deeply died? Would you let your heart die with that person? Or would you look for another and bury your feelings together with the dead?

This manga entitled with “Be thirsty of Love” by Honami Yukine and TAKAGUCHI Satosumi is a story of three boys who was in a relationship with one girl, Yuka. Nakano Orie, one of the three was oblivious that at the same time Yuka was dating two other boys. He likes Yuka mainly because she was his first but little did he know that he would be drawn to a twisted relationship because of her. Then he met Kuwabara Tatsumi in an unanticipated situation and found out about his lover’s affair. But it didn’t end there for Suenobu Suguru, Orie’s senpai, basketball teammate and his admired person appeared to be one of Yuka’s lovers too. In the complicated situation where they owned a part in Yuka’s heart, what would they do and what relationship would emerge as soon as another secret came known to Orie’s knowledge?

Sometimes, unpredicted things happen as unexpected people appear and affect our system. This story “Be thirsty of love” tells a story of love, pain, loss and desire mixed that one couldn’t even tell what it is anymore. But with people around you who shares the same suffering, would you feel alone or comforted with that thought? As I read this manga, I was a little bit confused of the true emotions they have inside them, as to what really one thinks and feels but then it became clear to me that they were imprisoned of one reason, the love they have for only one person. And as the story continued, I wondered who would end up together and who would end up alone. The end was also fine and reasonable in my opinion. Though the story was not completely yaoi (for there was a woman involved), it was good and I can say I came to like how it’s done. The art was also good and the reader should read carefully to be able to understand the thought and the feelings within the story. I’ll include a book summary below so to those interested to read this manga, be quenched from the bitter sweet pain and pleasure their love would brought you!

BOYS NEXT DOOR

It’s just this way that I love you, kill you. .  .
From one of the mangaka who specialized in psychological and dark stories came a beautiful tale of love and passion between a teacher and a young boy whom lives were bound to their sinful truths, one being a murderer and the other a prostitute. This manga by Kaori Yuki, Boys Next Door, tells the affection borne from two person of the same sex, Adrian and Lawrence. Despite the situations they were in, each of them found happiness and tranquility being together however, for not long these feelings were taken away from them.
Adrian, an elementary school teacher hid an unspoken truth of his identity, being a murderer of young prostitutes, the notorious killer “Blind Man”. But when he met Lawrence, a young boy prostitute who’s been wanting to be set free clung to him and made his life came to a different twist. With Lawrence’s pure and innocent love, he found himself drown into his embrace and warmth. Will love lead them to pass through their thorny path? Or will it become the cause of their destruction? Will Adrian be able to set his most beloved Lawrence free?
Reading this manga sent me crying each time, the darkness and the emotions within each character and the strong love they have with each other made my heart ache so much. The story was well made and it could catch the sympathy of the readers. Such a striking tale of love that even at the end, they chose to be in each other’s arms beyond the reach of anyone else. This short yet emotional manga is a must read! So, be engulfed by the passion of their love and desire and witness the tale of the BOYS NEXT DOOR.

In my crazy world Lawrence, above all the others, you are the only one who is the purest and the only one who is the most beautiful. . .

Vampire Girl

Fate, something that people would spoke of lightly. But what really fate is? Is it just the meeting of two people? Or is it the coincidences happening together? Is it the death of someone? Or the new life from a new born human? Everyone has a different perspective of what fate is. How about you? What fate is for you? This is my statement after I’d read for the third time the manga by Kauro Fujiwara.
In this world, there are so many happenings that we can’t understand. We didn’t know many things. Just like the story of Kanna and Ren, a life where death and reincarnation took place. A love so deep that it soon ends up to hatred, an existence where you keep on waiting and a hunger just like a demon’s. I wondered, does something like this have had been happening to someone too? Maybe, somewhere out there, were people who wait for their love one to be born again and to be with them. I believe that there’s a possibility of the existence of immortal or the undead, someone who couldn’t die in a natural way like normal human being. If so, do they feel the same loneliness like of that what Ren and Kanna had?
I was really moved by this manga entitled “If you wanna break this world” also known as “Vampire Girl” for it was full of mystery, sorrow, pain, love and hatred. I’ve had read it twice a long time ago and for the third time I set my eyes to it, I had fully understood the story. The darkness within each of them that became the reason of their continuous existence, the love they had for each other that became the tool of their patience of waiting and the blood that quenched their hunger and for survival, all of it became clear to me after reading the story for the third time. This complicated yet beautiful manga of love and hatred left a deep impression into me. To those who like vampire stories, this manga would open a new understanding and a new side of their existence. I really liked the twist and the flow of the story even though it was dark and shady. A supernatural tragic tale about two lives continuously waited and searched for each other only to make their fate happened repeatedly. I like how the artist had drawn and portrayed the character as well.
If you would be in the same shoes of one of them, what would you do? Would you suffer endless loneliness and longing for that particular person to appear again? Would you extract the same punishment for something he had done even though you loved him? Would you do the same thing as what they did? Well, for questions like this to be answered by you, read and find out the deep mystery of the tale of the two vampire lovers, Kanna and Ren.
